About Us

OUR AIMS

Talkmatters’ aim is to provide a confidential counselling service which addresses the therapeutic needs of those living in Fife. We are an independent charity and are not affiliated with the NHS.

We have made a difference to many people over the years with a consistently high client satisfaction record. Lives have been changed through counselling, so why not make a difference to your life by talking to us?

OUR HISTORY

Our service has been operating for over ten years as Talk Matters and over 20 years as a counselling service in Fife.

We initially opened as National Counselling Service: Fife (NCS:Fife) in 1997, following a fundraising initiative by the Church of Scotland’s Woman’s Guild and were managed in partnership with Crossreach, the Church of Scotland’s social care organisation.

We became Talkmatters in 2008.

CHARITY AND LEGAL STATUS

We are Scottish Registered Charity No SC026976, and are registered as a Limited Company.
